Pablo A. Flores
Pablo draws from over 18 years’ expertise as an executive manager in the OIL & GAS industry, focusing on project concept development, from planning to startup and operations. He has held senior positions while working for PEREZ COMPANC, PETROBRAS ENERGIA, and REPSOL, leading strategic projects and contract negotiations in upstream, midstream, and downstream sectors, primarily in LATAM. Lately, he was the General Manager of a privately-owned OIL & GAS consortium, where he set up and developed Block 45 of Ecuador’s Oriente basin during the last 8 years.
Pablo earned his B.A. – Cum Laude in Management and Economics from Eckerd College, has an MBA – Cum Laude from the University of Notre Dame, and attended the Management Program for Senior Executives at the IDE Business School.
Leonardo is a U.S. and Ecuador trained attorney, with more than 15 years of experience representing international corporations, as well as financial institutions and governments in energy (renewable and non-renewable), extractives (oil, gas, and mining), and infrastructure sectors. His work includes the analysis of legal frameworks, drafting of new statutes and regulations, and advising clients in Africa, Asia, and Central and South America in the negotiation, execution, and termination of contracts in his areas of specialization. He also serves as an invited law professor in several universities across the continent, and as a member of corporate boards.
Leonardo is a lawyer from the Universidad Católica del Ecuador, and under a Fulbright scholarship earned a Master's degree in Law from the University of Texas at Austin.
